GreenStalk Ultimate Spinner With Wheel Kit

I'm so glad I spent the extra money to get this for my Greenstalk Original Planter. It makes it so easy to care for my plants on my deck. I can easily move it around to a different spot or spin it to easily access my plants. I'm buying a Leaf Planter and will also buy another spinner with wheels to go with it :-)

Unfortunately, my husband bought me a 5 tier with the ultimate spinner base as a gift for Christmas. As it was well into the winter here in zone 6b, I waited until spring to plant my strawberries. This base is much less sturdy than the mover base and my vertical planter fell over twice despite being locked in. All of my strawberries were killed in the multiple falls and I had to replant. I asked for an exchange because I am clearly not completely satisfied with the performance of a $60 base. Because it was more than 90 days past purchase they were only able to offer me a return minus the shipping cost. I understand they have a business to run, but I am disappointed in the customer service here. As a repeat customer who has not ever complained or returned anything, I would have expected more. I have also recommended this product to many people and I know at least one person who has purchased because of my recommendation. I do love the tower, but I am not a fan of this ultimate spinner base. Don't waste your extra money.

I have 6 of these bases, 3 for Green Stalks and 3 for large planters and I’m very thankful for them because they are well built, allow me to roll my plants around to follow the sun on my patio with the changing seasons, and rotate them to get even sun exposure. I have a few suggestions, though. The plastic wheels don’t roll very well on anything but the smoothest surface. We have a bumpy patio of tiny paved stones (old 90s pool deck) and it takes both my husband and I to move each Garden Tower because it doesn’t feel totally stable with the wheels getting hung up on bumps. We have the same issue getting it in and out of the house over the door threshold. Lastly, to lock or unlock the wheels, I wish it was easier - preferably able to do it with my feet like some other wheeled bases I have. Currently, I have to reach underneath and since the locks are on every other wheel, it’s not easy to tell which ones have the locks and I have to feel around for a minute. Overall, it’s nice and if you don’t need the wheels, it’s perfect but there is are definitely some quirks with the wheels that make it not 100% love. Since this is the option, though, I would buy them again if I get any more Garden Towers.
