GreenStalk Spring - Automatic Watering System

The automatic watering system was the accessory that I have been waiting for. My favorites are the frost cover, the spinner base, and now the automatic watering system. I still work and I have found that my garden does best when it isn't reliant on me to make sure it is watered. Could you design something yourself? Yes, yes you could, but it won't be pretty. However, this system is made with the same quality materials as the greenstalk and is purpose built. I was blown away by how fast the system filled the basin on top, in less than a minute, it was topped off and almost overflowing. Installation was far easier than I expected, 10 minutes tops, easy to move or adjust if needed. I like that the lid keeps items from falling into the basin and potentially clogging the holes, so useful for that reason alone. When you add the timer to the equation, this system checks all the boxes. I got the bluetooth timer offered by greenstalk, it was very easy setup as well and fortunately allowed me to set the runtime at just a minute. The system also comes with the hardware to allow you to expand the system. I intend to install another system for my other tower and I am interested to see how I need to adjust the run time, but the timer offers me that flexibility. This system lets you focus on the fun parts of gardening. I would love to see some of the legacy colors come back to provide matching lids for the old systems.

The watering system for the planters has been wonderful. It makes it easier and less time consuming to turn be able to water both my planters pretty much at the same time. Not having to hold my hose to water also gives me time to pull off dead leaves and do a little harvesting while watering. Which is super helpful during hot Georgia summers. If I need to water one planter a little more than the other I simply adjust the valve at the top of the system. The watering system is a great addition to my little garden.

Ever since I purchased my Greenstalk I have wanted and tried to figure out how to set up a watering system so I can save time. And then this comes out, thank you, thank you, thank you! This was so easy to set up and works like a charm! Just love it!

The watering system was fast and easy to install. I setup two units plus the Bluetooth timer. When going on vacation this system will be a dream since I won’t need to worry about my garden!! The system works perfectly for this need. I gave the system 4 stars only because when two units are connected you cannot rotate them. I need to be able to rotate mine and not being able to do this out of the box was problematic and prevents me from daily use. I also didn’t like having the leave the water on at all times and wondered over time if this would be an issue. I have four units and it doesn’t take me too long to water them and I use that time to care for the plants, too. The system is perfect for me for when I am away but I personally won’t use it every watering. I also work from home :). I think if I were gone often I would be more inclined to use the automated watering daily. It’s awesome to have this option and it’s terrific to know the company listens to customer needs and then meets them!

If you're reading reviews for this product and considering it, do yourself a favor and just buy it. The Greenstalk alone is an amazing product but this really knocked it out the park. I can water my tower in under 5 minutes. I also suggest getting the blue tooth timer because who doesn't want even more time to enjoy your garden? Seriously I cannot recommend the watering system enough, I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review to make sure it was effective and JUST BUY IT ALREADY! It's easy to set up, saves me so much time, and really makes gardening accessible to anyone. I've already told all my friends and family to get greenstalks but I'm adding this to the list as necessary if you want a truly great gardening system. Amazing for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike.

I am so glad that GreenStalk came up with this idea to offer to their customers! I absolutely love it and have the Bluetooth timer also. Using this system has allowed me to water multiple times per day in especially hot weather. Setup was a breeze with all pieces included plus illustrated instructions! You truly can set it and take care of other gardening duties while the watering is completely done for you. What could be better--well of course another GreenStalk to plant!!

When you think GreenStalk could get no better.....it does! Having the Spring Watering System has lightened my load and gave me peace that my GSs will be watered when we leave town. Because I have to rotate my GSs and also have supports installed I cut the tube that would run all the way down the stalks, shortening them to the length of the top tier. This way when I rotate the GSs, I just unsnap the Spring and resnap on another pocket, I don't have to worry about the disturbing the supports. When first setting them up , if you have multiple GS , you need to observe the pressure going to each stalk. You will probably need to adjust at least the first one because it may recieve too much water, while the last not get any. It all depends on the distance it travels and how much water pressure you have at the source. As with all GS products the materials are of excellent quality. I can't say enough good about all of their products and the company as a whole.

I rotate all 3 of my towers connected to Spring but it would be easier if the bottom tubing was flexible. I plan to replace those. It takes less than 3 minutes to water.

This watering system has given me more time to visit my garden and pay attention to my plants needs. I no longer have to stand there and fill the water reservoirs of 4 different towers! My plants are less likely to suffer on days I can’t get out to do my watering. I still have to figure out how to get my Towers to rotate fully while connected. I highly recommend this product for the best results! I cannot wait for my pepper tower to shine!

I love this! The big problem I have gardening is going out to water in summer when the sun is beating down and it’s so hot but that’s when the plants need the most water! The watering system saves the day! It can be used with your existing in ground sprinklers if you just get an adapter from the hardware store. It comes with everything you need to set it up from your hose. (You will need to buy a y-splitter if you need to use that faucet for a separate hose. It’s easy to put together, with high quality connections. It comes with 2 pre-cut lengths of hose approximately the height of a standard tower. My towers are pretty close together so I tried cutting a piece in half to connect them to each other but I suggest leaving more space than that as it ended being a bit too close by the time I got to the 4th tower. The hoses are not easy to take out of the connections once in so I suggest measure twice before assembling. It takes about 2 mins of water for me to get water coming out of the bottom. I have the timer set up to do 2 minutes in the morning and again in the evening. I did turn the dial down for the first in the chain and all the way open for the last otherwise the first tower fills before the last and you end up wasting some water.
